This soft shelled snapper was caught in davie, fl. While trying to retreive the hook, young Carl almost got his hand taken off. After running like a little girl, the hook was finally removed and the turtle released. Be careful out there!

From the Patriot Ledger, "Patrick, in his submission to Commerce Secretary Carlos Gutierrez, said that revenues for Massachusetts groundfish boats fell to $36.5 million in 2006 from $44.6 million in 2005. The administration estimated that the overall industry lost nearly $22 million in sales last year." The basis of the argument is that the regulations are too tight and the stocks are back to normal levels.
04/15/2007 08:17 AM Captain Alex Fishing in Edgewater We took Captain Nate's boat yesterday and had a decent day. The wind was real rough and navigating the backwaters wasn't the best. We may have run up against some reds late in the day, but it may have been heat stroke making us think so as we didn't bring any in. There were jack, porgy, catfish, and some flounder. We caught two to bring back. There were also some mean sunburns to be caught that day.
